Write to the desk

The editorial address is [email protected]. It reaches the three people who maintain the records, and it is the only address we use for corrections, documents and disputes.

We read everything. We reply to messages that contain something checkable, and we prioritise those over general enquiries, because a record that can be improved today matters more than a conversation.

Sending a correction

A correction is easiest to act on when it contains the source rather than a description of the source. What helps most:

  • The exact brand name as it appeared, with punctuation and capitalisation intact.
  • A link to the page you are referring to, and where possible a copy or screenshot showing the date.
  • The company name, registration number or address you found, and where on the site you found it.
  • For a payment matter, the name of the receiving entity exactly as it appeared on the statement, without account numbers or card details.
  • For a regulator matter, a link to the regulator's own published notice rather than to an article about it.

Please do not send account numbers, card details, passwords or copies of identity documents. We do not need them, we do not want to hold them, and a correction never requires them.

What happens next

Each message is checked against its original source before anything on the site changes. If the material holds up, the relevant field is updated, the checked date on that record moves, and the change is attributed to the editor who made it.

If we cannot verify what arrives, we say so and explain what would be needed. A record staying as it is after review is a normal outcome, not a dismissal.

For brand operators

If you operate a platform listed here and believe a record is wrong, send the documents that would fill the empty columns: a registered company name and number, the register entry that confirms them, and the identity of the entity that receives client payments. Those are the fields that change a row.

We do not remove records on request and we do not accept payment to alter a verdict. What we do accept, promptly and without argument, is evidence.

What we cannot help with

We cannot recover funds, mediate a dispute, contact a platform on your behalf or advise on whether to invest. If money has been lost, the useful routes are your bank or card issuer, the financial supervisor of the country involved, and the police service where you live. Our records are meant to help you identify who those bodies should be, and that is the limit of what a directory can do.
