What the records are
Each record describes what could and could not be established about a brand name from public sources on a stated date. A record is a description of a search, not a certification, an endorsement or a warning about any business.

Permitted use
You may read, print and quote from the records for personal or editorial purposes, provided the source is named and the meaning is not altered. Quoting a status without its date or without the list of unverified items misrepresents the record, and we ask that you do not.
You may not reproduce the site in bulk, present its records as your own, use them to imply that we endorse a brand, or scrape it in a way that degrades the service for other readers. Automated retrieval that respects the published robots rules and a reasonable request rate is acceptable.
Third-party links
Links to registers, regulators, publications and other external sites are provided so that claims can be checked at the source. We do not control those destinations, do not adopt their content, and are not responsible for their availability or accuracy.

Corrections and complaints
If a record is wrong, send the supporting document through the contact page. We check what arrives against its original source, correct what needs correcting, and date the change. We do not remove records on request and we do not accept payment to alter one.
